Transforming Uganda Join DELTA Ministries, in partnership with Christian Life Ministries, if you are looking for God to use you to impact lives, leave a legacy and help us harvest a nation for God! Transforming Uganda’s short-term mission team dates:  Summer - July 23rd – August 1, 2010 or Winter – December 29th – January 9, 2011.
Haiti Relief & Recovery Teams Our hearts have been moved as we have watched the images during the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.  Yet we know that God has not been surprised by this disaster.  In fact, quite the opposite, He is at work in this situation bringing glory and honor to His name. In partnership with "Haiti 4 Him", DELTA's strategy is to mobilize prayer, short-term mission teams and giving for long-term relief and recovery of Haiti.
Resources DELTA Ministries can provide you with the necessary resources needed to effectively train and mobilize your team for ministry.  These resources include websites, articles, curriculum and ministry tools.  These resources will help you learn and share about Jesus Christ to others as you serve on short-term mission teams:
Training Teams and Leaders The most effective training for short-term missions is gained  by active learning and not just by watching a video or reading a book. The training process begins roughly four months prior to departure (pre-field) and should continue on field and back home after your return (post-field). We highly recommend using a training curriculum such as The Next Mile for your team.
Post-Ministry Discipleship Stay the Course!
"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58
Activate Your Church God continues to move in a mighty way through short-term missions. What started as small groups of individuals going out a few decades back has now grown into a global missions movement.

Our Commitment

DELTA  is dedicated to "Knowing God", "Loving His People" and "Reaching the World".  Because DELTA is concerned with the "whole Christian," each ministry is geared to offer an experience that is three dimensional:

  • "Knowing God" demonstrates concern for the spiritual growth and well-being of each short-termer.  Each short-termer comes away from a DELTA experience with a deeper understanding of God and an enriched relationship with Him.  This comes as a result of careful discipleship, training and the practice of new lifestyle disciplines.  To be actively concerned with one's relationship to God is the first step in achieving the next two aspects of our PNG_celebrationcommitment to whole missions.

  • "Loving His People" is being a blessing and not a burden to the missionaries and national hosts for each team.  It is equally important that the teams reach out, encourage and partner with the believers in the national churches.

  • "Reaching the World" communicates our commitment to evangelism and discipleship of new believers.  This is accomplished through building relationships, preaching, tract distribution, surveys, door-to-door, testimonies, performing arts, prayer and more.

These three areas touch virtually all aspects of life and ministry.  Together, they help to insure not only a successful mission but significant life change in each short-termer.

TESTIMONIES

Serving with DELTA greatly impacted me as we worked with French teens; my burden for the teenagers of my country grew. God's call for me to be in ministry was confirmed in my mind. I serve as a Youth Pastor in a small, country church in North Eastern PA.
